Summer is finally here! The roads are dry
and warm. Gas prices are ridiculous. Everyone's getting bikes!
People are pushing out their bikes for the summer.
If you didn't drain your gas tank and put your bike on a trickle charger, you probably need a safety check. You
also should check your tires for wear. We do this daily with our shop bikes. Check out special projects on our
motorcycle shop page.
Town is hopping. Read our local paper for what's going on right now in town. The river is super high for rafting.
We just had MaiFest in town - Leavenworth is the Bavarian Village, so they have a
"Looking Good In Leiderhosen" contest each year for people and pets...Mr Buck the
Bavarian Bulldog went out in full dress--coming in second place to a Yorkie in a dress. 
Needless to say, he was still a #1 crowd pleaser! Leavenworth may be
one of the only places you can buy Leiderhosen for your pets...
We just put in our new firepit and BarBQue area for the
motel. Guests have been enjoying the warm summer nights around the fire...
Memorial Day was huge here, with motel guests from all over. We also were happy
to play host to the "509" sportbike riders from Yakima. They stopped by out of curiosity about our place,
and we happily gave them a welcome back anytime! These guys _actually_ ride, which is always a pleasure to see.
We mentioned that they could ride out here on a Friday, and have a BBQ and Bike Night on the property on Saturday night.
We can shut the whole property down for shenanigans (stunting?) and general messing around. We also have the minibike
track and jumps to get stupid on...Yes, folks, we are PRIVATE PROPERTY here, but we are right on the highway so everyone
can see....(evil smile)
