Let us help you craft your perfect
weekend getaway! Your hosts at the Timberline know all the best spots around here...four seasons, year-round.
Your hosts, Jay and Lizi Wesson,
are usually around to help you plan whatever entertainment you want to get yourself into.
We provide guests with a special map of the area that was made for us by a local artist. We'll highlight
the map to show where to go. All cabin area stocked with current activity brochures.
We sort of struggled
to come up with a way to organize all of the activities that this area has to offer. To be brief, we list them here
by season.
But I really encourage a visit to the Leavenworth Chamber of Commerce's
website. The Chamber is also staffed 7 days a week (amazingly) to help with any questions. You may call them 9-6 7 days
a week (!) at (509) 548-5807. Their office is in downtown Leavenworth so you can also stop by to get brochures for every
imaginable activity.
We also can also help with special requests;
such as having a chilled bottle of locally-made wine ready with chocolates and pears from our orchard waiting for check-in
into your cabin, or getting tickets for an acoustic guitar concert in town. Let me tell you the best spot in town
for a manicure and facial...Let your imagination meet our know-how.
Some Suggested
Regional Specialty Activities Arranged by Season
Springtime Pear and Apple orchards are all in bloom-trips down
hidden roads, hayrides thru the fields, river rafting and tubing (all equipment including wetsuits are available. Every
skill level - and we are directly on the river. Ale fest, hiking, rock or ice climbing, birding. Watch for the
TImberline's bald eagles flying up the river and try to see our resident lynx (he's shy). Look for baby black
bears behind the hotel gathering berries. Attend coffeehouse jazz music in Leavenworth at the bookstore. ATTEND OUR ANNUAL BIKE BLESSING THE LAST WEEKEND OF APRIL. Take a Escalade stretch limousine
tour of ten fabulous wineries and tasting rooms all within 10 minutes of our hotel. Ride dual sports up to the "4:20"
rock on Mountain Home Road and have a picnic ontop at the tiny hidden railroad with the round hobbit's door. See
the first outdoor sculpture that Seattle glass maker Dale Chihuly created at Sleeping Lady's lovely outdoor sculpture garden.

Summertime
Long, lazy days up to 100 degrees! Swim in the river on the beach in front of the motel.
Innertube for free from the fish hatchery to the motel - we'll run you up there! The water in the river is so clean
that you can see thru it, and drink it. Fish are visible and easy to catch. Hike, bike, rent jetskis or a boat
at pristine and nearby Lake Chelan, swim at the local pool, shop the art galleries in Leavenworth. Sit out on your porch at the Timberline and watch the sunset. See bald eagles with nests nearby catch salmon from the
river right in front of you. Laze around the gardens at your cabin and have a summer nite bbq (we provide). SUNDAY
MORNING RIDES down to Plain, to Lake Wenatchee - your hosts are your private guides. Do the whole Seattle Loop. Sit out on the porch of the cafe with us in rocking chairs while we strum guitars and banjos and sing James Taylor
songs to the sunset. Rent horses from Eagle Creek and explore the firetrails.

Fall Leavenworth hosts a huge Autumn Leaf Festival with parade and floats. The hills glow with firetones
and beg to be explored by bike, foot, or car. Walk around downtown Leavenworth with a bratwurst and then get a stein
of bier at Uncle Uli's Pub right on the main Platz. Oktoberfest lasts 3 weekends long and is one of our biggest
festivals (should I say more?). Fish right outside your cabin for steelhead. Hunt right outside your door for
deer. Harvest time for the orchards. Buy fresh fruit right from the orchards themselves. Drink real apple
juice. See the local vitners stomp their grapes.
Wintertime Seattle's rain turns to light,
powdery snow by the time it floats over the Cascades to Leavenworth. We have our own ski hill only 5 minutes from our motel- which is perfect for families (the average age of the skiers there is seven). You don't need a tube
or sled. Simply show up- $10 gets you a tube, a lift pass and all day until 8pm tubing. Ski hills are variable
levels. Get a snack at the 100 year old log lodge and warm in front of its huge fireplace. Alpine, Nordic, XC
and snoshoes trails head out from here also. All well organized.
Or rent snomobiles in Plain. Horse-drawn
sleigh rides in the snow at Sleeping Lady. Iceclimbing, sledding on the main square, eating hot chestnuts from a bag.
Our three-week long Christmas Lighting Festival. Snowball fights! Skiing larger slopes at Stevens Pass (the bus
picks you up right in front of the hotel). Have a five star meal at Icicle Ridge Winery's Thursday night
supper club. Relax with a hot stone massage. Shop for christmas gifts in downtown Leavenworth at the Kindlemarket,
an old fashioned German toy market.

Vow Renewal
Jay and I noticed that last summer
we had two parties of guests stay in the motel who were there to have vow renewal ceremonies with their loved ones.
Leavenworth is magical all four seasons to have indoor or outdoor ceremonies - from a casual summer night BBQ to a snowy hill
under the pines, we can arrange a minister (also an avid biker himself) to renew your vows - either on a pretty spot on our
property, up on a trailtop accessible by dual sports or wherever you can dream up. We'd love to help
you celebrate! Call Lizi at (509) 548-7415 to inquire about rates and options.
