Because we have gotten so much positive response and questions about our cafe racer builds that
we do here for customers, I had to put up a page that just deals with these types of builds. Any questions you have
- call me 509 548 7415.
This 1975 CB550 has metamorphed into a beautiful
and great riding cafe racer. This bike will not only be beautiful to look at, it will also be great
to ride. Its one of our beliefs that show bikes should be enjoyed and ridden, not just stuck in the garage for show!
We did all of the work in-house, with the exception of fabricating the seat pan
and the tank, and the painting of the former and the frame and wheels. After hours of prep of all metal work, we powder
coated the frame, the pipes, the wheels in town. When they came back, we laced the wheels with fat Buchanan spokes and
gold nipples from Japan. The pipes are 4-1 and will end with a Hamaguchi motogp pipe. They'll be wrapped in
black exhaust tape, as well.
Also, we will be starting another cafe project
shortly, this time with a CB750 - we will be doing an espresso-brown with gold flake, and cream with gold details. Watch
this space...
