Welcome to Timberline Motel and Motorsports!
You will find us on the beautiful Cascade Loop (Us Hwy 2) next to Leavenworth, Washington. Leavenworth nestles in the foothills of the eastern side of the Cascade Range that seperates Seattle from the orchards
and deserts of Eastern Washington. Leavenworth is a postcard-perfect Bavarian architectural pleasure - and combined
with the location and natural beauty of the immediate area - packs enormous value into your vacation dollar.
The Timberline sits on five acres of river-view land
and is directly on the Cascade (Hwy 2) Loop. We have 11 buildings on the property. Our original historic 1936 gas station has been in continual operation
since the 1930's. We offer old-fashioned FULL service (unheard of these days) to preserve our country
feel. The garage features vintage equipment (lifts, lubricant guns, compressors, etc.) all meticulously restored and in
daily use from the 1940s. Our market sells drinks and liquor of all kinds, snacks, cigarettes and motorcycle
gear. The motel comprises multiple buidings - 6 vintage cabins and a farmhouse.
Because of its
central location at the only stoplight in town, The Timberline has been a meeting place for locals since the late 1930s.
We are 2 miles from downtown Leavenworth, on the Wenatchee River, and nestled in orchards of pears and apples.
The
Timberline offers a unique blend of services for our guests. Besides lodging, food, and fuel, we repair motorcyles and sell biker lifestyle items in our gift shop. Locals call us "The Harley Hotel" as we cater to motorcycle riders of all bike types. But don't let the name scare you if you don't ride!
We are always happy to take care of any visitors who enjoy and appreciate what we are doing here to preserve our vintage
place.
There are so many ways to enjoy our area, so please take a moment to explore our site for options and photos.
We boast a Concierge Service second to none that will set you up with just about anything you'd want to do. From limousine winetasting tours
to innertubing/river rafting, skiing/tubing, shopping, Bavarian Bratwurst and Bier consumption, hidden motorcycle roads
(dirt and street), snowmobiling, waterskiing, fishing, hunting, horse-drawn sleigh rides in the snow, or one of Leavenworths'
24 festivals this year, our Concierge Service will set up a perfect visit. We've even added a "Biker Wedding/Vow Renewal" offering!
--------------------------------------------- Bike Blessing is Here! Saturday, April 26th from 10-4 pm. What: Springtime calls for renewal, thanks and gathering of friends. With the new riding season finally here,
this is a great opportunity to meet other riders in the area, from all walks of bike life (sportbikes, dual sport, cruisers,
trikes, etc.) and hang out. We will have two ministers this year (since there were so many attendees last year it took
about 30 mins to bless each rider individually). Both ministers are local (Leavenworth and Plain) and ride themselves.
Each rider is blessed individually, with a non-denomiational blessing. We will have a german bratwurst BBQ, burnout
contests with a free rear tire for the winner, and rides on the mini-choppers. We have a 5 acre property here, so there
is also a 360 track and a dirtbike track with jumps to play on. Hang out and check out other people's bikes.
The property and hotel will be open for viewing, too. FREE TO THE PUBLIC except for the BBQ.
When:
Saturday, April 26th 10-4 pm.
Why: Great
way to meet others in the community and a great excuse to get out and ride. Smoke your rear tire or watch others do
it. Good food. And don't we all need a blessing at the beginning of the riding season? My husband has
been having this event for 17 years, the first 15 at his shop in the Bay Area (see website for "Famous Alice's")...to
the last two years here. It's not as wild as it was back in those days - with the ladies from the Pink
Poodle and local bike clubs running security. Nope. Now we are "old"
and no more wet tshirt contests....I think. :-P Just kidding, of course!!
If
you're coming from a distance, why not stay in our motel and make it a weekend? See our rooms for details on the
website.
Where: Leavenworth, Washington. Right on Hwy
2 at the Peshastin Bridge. The old Chevron station with all of the motorcycles in front of it. Please see the
directions on the website for details.
